Now that my husband and I are pregnant, we’re trying to save money to be prepared for the baby. Is there any place near Columbia, MO that has free baby stuff?
I dont think any place gives out free baby stuff. Get some stuff from friends if you have friends with kids.

W.I.C. if you qualify will give you milk, eggs, juice, cheese, cereal, etc and then when your baby is born, formula…Publix supermarket if you have one near you has a baby club and you get a welcome pack of diapers , baby shampoo, soap, deodrant, etc and then thereafter coupons and some more free stuff that can help with the baby and you. If you have a woman’s center near you, they can help you get baby gear by going to different parenting classes and earning baby bucks to use in their store. Go to goodwill and get some cheap baby clothes, consignments shops for strollers, clothes, toys, etc…Craigslist and freestyle on the internet is a great way to get some baby gear. Congrats!

Well I really dont know where you can get free stuff for babies overthere but here in Chicago we have a couple of organizations that help you out with the basics but of course they are free so they are not of good quality and who would want to use things like that for their baby? Not me!

you could try freecycle or put some ads in your local papers asking for free baby stuff most people take their unwanted baby stuff to charity shops anyway so maybe worth a try?

No. Being a parent means spending money on the baby. No organization will just throw free stuff at you just because you’re pregnant. The only time you will get free stuff is at your baby shower. So start shelling out some money for the baby’s needs, no one likes freeloaders.

Try Salvation Army or Goodwill. Publix even has a baby club and they give you a welcome packet with everything you need for FREE! Also, try your neighborhood thrift store. These places have things that are very cheap (in price! not quality!). If you’re going for something free, if you go to church, ask them to help with your baby stuff. My friend did this at her church and she ended getting everything, clothes until the child was 4, cribs, rockers, toys, pacifiers, pillows, and TONS of diapers and bottles. These things were actually brand new too!!
Congrats on your Pregnancy!!
